About Katie

Katie Speltz is a Milwaukee-based dancer and choreographer originally from Winona, MN. She is currently pursuing her BFA in dance at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Previously, she traveled throughout the United States assisting faculty at Celebrity Conventions. At UWM, she has performed in the works of guest artists Vershawn Sanders-Ward, Aysha Upchurch, Alfonso Cervera, Kia Smith, as well as numerous faculty. She has also performed with Gina Laurenzi Dance Project, and in shows under the direction of Jasmine Uras, Ashley Ray Garcia, and Zoe Mei Glise. Her choreographic work has been presented in UWM’s New Dancemakers, UWM’s Dance Student Organization’s Dance Collective, and at competitions across the country. Most recently she has been performing with Danceworks MKE Apprentice Company.
